Part 1: Early Recognition and Intervention in Cancer Cachexia

Welcome to part one of a three-part episode entitled, Early Recognition and Intervention in Cancer Cachexia: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management. Cancer cachexia is a progressive muscle-wasting syndrome that significantly diminishes the quality of life for many patients with cancer. For part one, we are joined by Professor Aminah Jatoi, who will talk about the latest advances in early recognition and current standard of care in cancer cachexia and share management strategies for informing patients and their care providers.

This discussion was originally broadcast as an ACCME-accredited webinar entitled, Early Recognition and Intervention in Cancer Cachexia: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management, delivered by Professor Aminah Jatoi, Professor Jeffrey Crawford and Dr Rony Dev. It was published as part of the American Cancer Society - Cancer Cachexia Knowledge Hub educational program.
